Description

Chimera: The Damned is a sci-fi Metroidvania. Set aboard The Chimera, a massive starship hurtling through space, you play as one of the last survivors of an alien incursion. With nothing but your wits and weapons, you must discover what happened onboard, and how to survive survive.

History

Chimera: The Damned was heavily inspired by sci-fi horror movies such as Alien and Event Horizon, as well as games like System Shock and Dead Space.

Features

  • Fast paced 2D gameplay blended with tactical and horror elements. Combat is tense and dynamic; with limited ammunition, and precise shooting.
  • Visually inspired by early 90s DOS games, the game features highly detailed pixel art, all running at glorious 1080p.
  • High fidelity sound. The screams of untold horrors, the roar of automatic gunfire, and oppressive industrial noises of the ship, all replicated with the utmost accuracy.
  • A dark and rich story told through professionally voiced audio logs; a post-Earth society, where an underclass of subhumans called Tankgrowns serve as slaves.
  • Over 10 weapons and abilities for the player to unlock, spread over eight massive zones. From sterile medical bays and science labs, to cramped corridors and massive gothic halls, the Chimera's daunting size will astound you.
  • Body horror aesthetics meets 1970s retro-futurism; grotesque alien/human hybrids will relentlessly assault you onboard a ship designed in the age of analog.
